Fundraising goes pedal-powered – and pink!
Thursday, September 22, 2011
The Pink Car Rally is an annual event that raises money for The
Little Princess Trust - a charity which provides real hair wigs for
children with cancer. On Sunday 4th September, pink cars
from across the country - including a pink National Express coach -
set off an a 60-mile rally between Hereford and Cardiff, raising
thousands of pounds and drawing a large crowd.
Meanwhile, Peter Spring, a driver at Stansted City, completed
the Mayor of London Skyride on 4th September. Thanks to
generous employees at National Express and Empark, Peter raised
£640 in sponsorship - smashing his target of £100. The money
will go to St Clare Hospice, a charity which cares for people and
their families who are affected by a life-limiting illness such as
cancer.
