Minister for coaches
Tuesday, November 30, 2010
Local Transport Minister Norman Baker caught a coach recently -
to our new £15 million, station in Birmingham.
He was shown around by our MD, Andrew Cleaves, and the station's
General Manager, John Jones. And after greeting some of our
customers, he commented that, "coach plays an integral part in
providing affordable, convenient travel across Britain and I've
been thoroughly impressed by the facilities at Birmingham Coach
Station. This site sets a benchmark for the standard of passenger
care and innovative technology".
The station welcomes around two million visitors to the city
every year and is the largest coach interchange point in the UK.
After showing Norman Baker our new Traffilog, Alcolocks and Magic
Floor lift systems, Andrew said it was "a great opportunity for him
to be briefed on what we're doing to improve the service".
