Papal visit an NX success
Monday, September 27, 2010
Over 900 National Express coaches attended the Pope's homily at
Cofton Park, Birmingham, helping to bring 45,000 Pilgrims from
destinations as far as Penzance and Edinburgh.
"Over 70 volunteers worked extremely hard to manage the arrival
and departure of the coaches" said Bruce Amos, Events Manager. "I
don't think anyone has seen so many coaches parked up in one place
before. It was an awesome sight to see."
Andrew Cleaves, Managing Director coach commented, "As a
newcomer to this business I have been hugely impressed by the
dedication and teamwork shown during this operation."
This event has clearly helped put National Express coach onto
the agenda of many influential people in national and local
government. More importantly, we've also welcomed thousands of new
customers onto our coaches.
