My job's all about giving the right information and providing
the right advice to customers. That's the simple truth of it, but
you'll be surprised how different each day can be.
I help customers with their itineraries and any travel issues
they may have, I deal with agents, I assist disabled people with
their journeys… in short I provide a tailored service for each and
every caller. And I do it for both National Express and Eurolines
services.
I've done a lot of European travel, so that always helps when
I'm talking customers through their travel options abroad. Equally,
that's invaluable when I'm helping customers from overseas who are
visiting the UK.
This is the front line, and I really enjoy it. Travelling can
take a lot of organising, so my job is about making life as easy as
possible for people. Instilling confidence in customers, if you
like.
What helps in all this is the support I get from my colleagues.
It's very friendly here - everyone helps each other out, and
nobody's afraid to ask for assistance. We also share a laugh and a
joke, which makes the day go quicker.
