Become an Apprentice
Learning on-the-job as well as in the classroom, this is
the best route to becoming a National Express Engineer. Our scheme
will open all sorts of doors for you and allow you to create a
career for yourself that will set you up for life.
You'll work alongside experienced engineers/fitters as they
repair engines, gearboxes, chassis, axles, steering and breaks.
You'll learn a lot as you watch your colleagues prepare
buses/coaches for MOTs, carry out services and diagnose
defects.
We'll put you on a comprehensive training plan which will
include going to college and achieving NVQ/City & Guilds
qualifications.
You'll need a practical mindset, a proven interest in
engineering and a commitment to hard work, not to mention strong
communication skills and the ability to work on your own
initiative.
