Graduates

Graduates

We run a fantastic programme, offering a great opportunity every year for a number of graduates across our UK Division.

The programme runs for up to 18 months and spans across all parts of the organisation. Giving our new colleagues a real flavour of our UK businesses as a whole with exposure to life in head office, the customer contact centre, Coach Stations, garages and depots.

The Programme

After a comprehensive induction to introduce you to the business, including a road trip across our key UK network locations, you will undertake an 18 month training programme which is bespoke to your development needs.

Throughout your training you will have ongoing support from the UK HR Director and Learning and Organisational Development team, together with the guidance and expertise of a separate dedicated personal mentor. Our aim is to give you the tools, the encouragement and the help to succeed and make a real difference to our business.

Your programme will cover a wide range of business activities and functions including; operational management and leadership, marketing and commercial strategy, human resources, training and development, engineering, network planning, safety, finance, purchasing, payroll, technical support, revenue management and customer service.

A unique and very exciting part of our scheme is that, while your initial training will be based in the UK, you will also be part of a global graduate network with the opportunity to work in our international business units. In addition, you will be given the opportunity to obtain further qualifications, such as an MBA from a prestigious world-class university and be part of our long standing relationship with Transaid, offering some of our graduates the opportunity of supporting projects in Africa.

About You

We are looking for well-rounded graduates who can demonstrate intellect combined with a passion for the transport industry and understanding of our business as well as wider society, and who are able to interact at all levels.

Candidates should have a minimum of a 2.1 degree in any subject, 3 A Levels at grades A-C, and 5 GCSEs at A-C grades, including Maths and English. You will need a strong commercial focus, excellent communication skills and a flexible, enthusiastic and down-to-earth approach. The ability to speak more than one language is desirable, though not essential.
